Rap Is Not Pop. If You Call It That Then Stop.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of hanging out Chino XL and his partner in partying Bobby. They were one of the heading lining acts in the National Rap City tour which also featured Ghostface Killah and MF Doom. Whilst hanging out with the boys we chatted about Ice-T's upcoming documentary Art Of Rap. Whilst looking for an Australian release date for the film, I stumbled across this list from Complex -  The 25 Best Hip-Hop Documentaries. I am going to attempt to watch the list this winter. Who The F*ck Is Lance?

On the eve of the WAMi Awards, one of the biggest nights in the Western Australian music scene, Lance was conceived. Within 48 hours of giving birth to the idea of Lance, sadly he was taken from us. Mandy Mateljak, a budding Perth photographer and myself explored the idea of capturing the contemporary and dance music communities with an object. 

A beer pouring, music loving networker that had the privilege of hanging with John Butler, Eskimo Joe, Dom Alessio, Milly Millgate and Adam Lewis. And he defiantly made a dramatic exit after burning the dance floor at DJ Craze and Codes at Villa. We hope you enjoy browsing the journey of Lance, as much as we enjoyed the experience.
