My ex-boyfriend would put me down for staying in n crafting on a Friday night. In efforts to promote and educate girls that ‘it is okay and cool to be creative’ I pulled together a small event for Indiah (my 16 year old little sister) and some of the inspiring women in my life! I got the idea to make these glasses from 

the Fancy Free girls in Brisbane. Here's an tutorial! 

On Thursday 28 August we gathered at our apartment for our first #CraftOverShaft night! Where we stuck, glued and pinned pretty and funny things to make Funglasses, ready for the summer season.

Ocsober - 30 Days Sober

This October I'm taking part in Ocsober, as a proud member of Brew-Tang Clan! Yep that's right 30 days of no alcoholic beverages. We're raising money for Life Education. It's a not-for-profit organisation delivering positive, preventative health education programs in schools, which motivate, encourage and empower children and young people to make smart life choices for a healthy future, free from the harm associated with drug and alcohol misuse.

Working in the music industry, many hours of my career and social activities are spent in late night venues and licensed premises. I want to prove to myself, my friends and peers that weekends can be enjoyed without a glass of red in hand!

Let's make some dollar bills for the babies.

Part of my job working for Boomtick Events includes promoting upcoming artists that we have playing in the clubs. I’ve just spent the morning listening to some really great mixes from five DJ’s that are on the next Fresh produce line-up at Ambar. Fresh Produce in a night that happens a couple of times a year, where we give Perth DJ’s  the opportunity to play at Ambar if they haven’t before! ALL of the mixes were THAT great, that I can’t not share them with you…

Thursday's Loose Change

One of the inspiring and talented hip hop acts that reigns from Big Village Records returns to Perth from the SYD this Thursday (YAY!).  Loose Change is comprised of Rapaport and Ellesquire, with their super-smooth deckman P.Major. They’re responsible for tracks ‘New Day’ and ‘Shoosh’, which more recently has been gettin' smashed on the J’s.

With Sarah Pellicano and Silvertongue supporting, it’s fair to call it a Thirsty Thursday! If you’re not familiar with their music that’s no problem, as I have listed some viewing/listening links for your pleasure below!

Hideout Festival 2014

It’s amazing but not surprising what a good night of dancing with beautiful friends can do. I’m not saying the red wine, bag of bikkies AND the fact that I stayed in on the Friday night didn't contribute. But if it wasn’t for these decision-making-arms-twisters I wouldn't be feeling the way I am right now. I'm feel ecstatic. Trust me, its been a long time for that natural adrenaline of personal excitement to flow throughout my body. 

On the 28^th June, the night of my BIRFDAY Party , I’ll leave the club (It’s around the world theme, quite fitting really) to embark on a journey which will take myself and a legendary team from Perth to Croatia! This is the first country I’ll be spending some time in of my 3 week holiday. For many reason but most importantly for this one, Hideout Festival...

The line-up makes me wet. Am I allowed to say that? Fuck it, yeah I am! AND the peeps that I am going with, I don't have the words to explain... It's going to quite possibly be the best year ever.

Sarah Pellicano Releases 'Playing With Fire'

WA singer/songwriter Sarah Pellicano is excited to announce her newest release, ‘Playing With Fire’ featuring MC Roc Walla and produced by much-loved fellow WA act Creed Birch.

The second electronic release from Pellicano’s Debut EP captures her raw and emotional take on love and lust, a taste of why she has been a sought after vocalist in Perth. ‘Playing With Fire’ is a story of desperation and inadequacy, told with Pellicano’s unique voice, and backed by the incredible flow of Roc Walla.

Of the track, Pellicano says, “It’s about what desperate lengths people go to when it comes to losing someone they love. It starts with a girl, so innocent and clueless, and ends with her becoming someone she never wanted to be for someone who didn't value her.” Accompanied by Roc Walla’s infallible flow and poetry and Creed Birch’s growling production, this is a team that cannot disappoint.

The track has had over 8000 plays over the last 5 days!

Sunday you'll find me in Fremantle. Not only because I wouldn't have been able to find a cab back from Tessa's House On A hill -German Sparkle Edition (Fremanlte cabs are a joke) but secondly because I'll be heading to West Coast Blues and Roots Festival with some of my dearest girlfriends,

Ever year the Perth International Arts festivals host a unique and mature array of artists. This year is no different, their contemporary line-up deliveries a wide range of genres. But most importantly its includes some delectable hip hop and electronic acts.

One of the shows that both my mate Benny P (local DJ, Ramen lover and all around NICE guy) and I are most looking forward to is DJ Shadow! Here are Benny's 5 Favourite DJ Shadow tracks, so you too can get excited!

Tale of a Tall Fellow is RAD!

On Friday the 24 February I’m putting on a gig This Is Rad a.k.a Ranga Appreciation Day. With a Stella local line-up of red headed DJ’s, freckle face painting, orange hair spraying with all proceeds goings to the Cancer Council of WA. Local designer Di Nguyen has kindly donated a shirt for the winner of the BEST Ginger Mo, Fro or Beard Comp! I asked her a few quick questions about her label (which I adore)! 

Label: Tale of a Tall Fellow 
It all came about when… I saw a lack of variation in menswear in Perth. All the shirts were very similar and I wanted to create something a little different and to give the guys of Perth another option in what they could wear. 
My biggest inspiration is… history and mainly British fashion and designers such as visit and Bobby Abley.
